Additional educational courses
The Centre for Languages and Certification, as an inter-faculty unit of the University of Lodz, promotes multilingualism among students and employees of the University of Lodz, residents of Lodz and the region, enabling European professional mobility.
Teaching at the Centre for Languages and Certification of the University of Lodz is conducted at the levels specified in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, using available methods and techniques, and the primary goal is effective language education and preparation for language exams of students, doctoral students, employees and graduates of the University of Lodz and people from outside the University.

TOLES EXAMS
"Legal English" course preparing for the "Tests of Legal English Skills" (TOLES) exam.
- The course covers 144 lessons per year, 3 hours 2 times a week.
- Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. ON-LINE Ms Teams (Microphone and camera required)
When you pass the exam, you will receive a British diploma confirming your skills in 'Legal English'. It is currently the only such exam in the world. You can take it at intermediate or advanced level.
If you decide not to take the exam, the course itself will equip you with specialist knowledge of English legal vocabulary, including legal jargon. In addition, you will acquire new skills, such as understanding contracts in English or understanding formal legal language in other documents used in court and business transactions.
COST OF THE COURSE - PLN 2,760 when paid in advance for the whole year, PLN 1,450 per semester (payment in 2 installments)
In case of a significant growth of the inflation level, the price of the course in the second semester may change.
